THE BATTLES IS THE LORD'S

We all are not ignorant of the fact that problems exist and the whole of mankind quest for a solution to those problems that might probably confront us or confronted us. There are some that we felt we can handle it, and there are some that will make us run for help either from our parents, brother, friends or colleagues etc. running to all this people for help in times of need or in trouble is not bad but the truth is that they can not event conquer their own troubles – they needed help also. When I was young I only recognize my mother as my mentor and the only person to solve my problem – so whenever I found myself in troubled I ran to her for help, some times she solved the problem And sometimes she needed a helping hand, she will now discuss the matter with my father – then I realize the rule of my father in defending and solving my problems. I started looking up to my mum and dad for help when I am in need, but it is not all problems that my parent solved. Sometimes I look up to my beloved brother, sister and friends for help but I always find them wanting in one-way or the other. As I grow old I came to discover the best place to lay my situations.  In November 1999 by the grace of God I discovered Jesus – for He is the perfect man that can handle my situations, He is the right man to FIGHT MY BATTLE be they spiritual, physical and other wise.

The truth remained; you and I are involved in a spiritual war in the unseen realm. God’s Word makes it clear that we will have times of trouble. But the Bible also makes it clear that no matter what we may be facing, God has a plan. His plan for us is to be victorious—even when our problems feel overwhelming. You may be struggling with fear, a bad habit, poverty, relationship issues, or even a life-threatening disease. Whatever it is, when you give your battle to the Lord, you are in a position for victory. Until you come to the knowledge of this divine principle of depending upon God – you will miss out all the privileges God has for you – to provide, defend and always fight your battles.

Jacob, if not for the intervention of God, he would have been running all his life searching for prosperity. Remember, because of the cruel way he got his brothers blessing, he was afraid Esau will kill him so he when on exile, even after achieving prosperity from Laban’s house, Jacob new not peace, so he decided to ran away (what is prosperity without peace of mind? What is prosperity without the fruit of the Holy Spirit?) – Jacob was at a stage of dilemma so he confronted God. Jacob realizes his need for divine power and so he cried out to God “…I will not let you go unless you bless me” Gen. 32:26b (NIV).  The word ‘bless’ as used in the passage is a Greek word, which means power. Jacob realizes his need for power and that power can only come from God so he asked for it. You also need that power to overcome you situations and that power. Happiness is where you can find it. John Mason confess that success will be yours if you drop your laps were success is dropping.

The secret to leaving a successful and conquerors life is TOTAL DEPENDANT ON GOD AND HIS WORD – acknowledging the fact that on your own you can do nothing, putting you trust in Him (God), confronting your situations and giving God praise. I love the testimony of Jehoshaphat as written in the Holy Scriptures. Jehoshaphat was face with a situation – three enemies term up against him, the Moabites, Ammonites and the Meanites were coming to make war with him. Instead of panicking and running elsewhere for help or assistance, Jehoshaphat turned to God in prayer – what a wonderful thing to do. This is the beginning of his success. Listen to his prayer “Oh our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this great army that is attacking us, we do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you”. 2 Chronicles 20:12 (NIV). I so much love the section ‘b’ of his prayer FOR WE HAVE NO POWER TO FACE THIS VAST ARMY THAT IS ATTACKING US. The number one step to leaving a victorious life is acknowledging this fact, “For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us”. I called this TOTAL EMPTINESS, for it is out of nothing that God made something. Until you came to the stage of emptiness success is not yours. Jesus did not ask the people to bring fill vessel in order to make more wine, no! He asked for empty once and when they are been brought, he filled them with something. When man work God watched, when they hand it over to Him, He solved it. God would not intervened in you situation if you did not called on him.

“then the spirit of the Lord came upon Juhaziel son of Zechariah,… He said: “ Listen, king Jehoshaphat! This is what the Lord said to you: Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, bit God’s. Tomorrow march down against them.

…you will not have to fight this battle. Take up your position, stand firm and see the deliverance God will give you, … Do not be afraid: do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you” 2 Chronicle 20:14 – 17

One thing is to depend upon God and look up to him another thing is to TRUST HIM. For they that know their God shall do exploit. When you put your trust in God, God remove the letter IM from the word IMPOSSIBLE and live you with wonderful word, ‘POSSIBLE’. This battle of life is not yours as long as you are dependent upon God your part is to Trust him and do what he said. It is now time to face that problem – go after them, overcome and defeat them. God is not interested in you running away from that situation; no He wants you to face them because you are victorious. Remember running away from problem is not solving the problem – that problem remain and keep on running after you. It is time you stop telling God how big the problem is, and start telling the problem how mighty is your God. No wander David couldn’t watch the philistine insulting his God – for he knows His God and he trust Him. At the war front when his brother where running away at the shout of Goliath, David was pressing forward to face him “…who is this uncircumcised philistine…?). Even when Goliath making mockery of David calling him dog… David stands his ground knowing fully well that the battle is the Lord’s. “David said to the Philistines, you came against me with sword, spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty…” David’s God is the Almighty God, David trusted him to fight his battle and so he did not come in his own name but in the name of the lord Almighty. “The God of the armies of Israel… this day, the Lord will hand you over to me, and I’ll strike you down…” I thank God David did not said he will killed Goliath but that the Almighty God will hand Goliath to him… the LORD WILL HAND OVER YOUR OWN GOLIATH TO YOU IN JESUS NAME. “All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves, for the BATTLE IS THE LORD’S and he will give all of you into our hands”

1 Samuel 17:45 - 47  (NIV)

You may be wandering why I am writing this as secret to living a successful life, but this is just the truth. You cannot live a successful life without the God of success on your side. He made all things, “…without Him nothing was made that was made”. John 1:3 He is the creator of Heaven and Earth… he is the giver of knowledge, wisdom etc. Speaking through the mouth of His servant John, he said, “without me you can do nothing”. You need Him to be successful in life and the only way to get Him is by confessing your sins and accepting Him (Jesus) as your Lord and personal Saviour. “whoever confesses that Jesus is the son of God, God abides in him, and he in God”. 1John 4:15 do you know the implication of having the Almighty God in you? That means you are more than conqueror. Failure, poverty, sickness e.t.c. will bow down for you, because they are seeing the Jesus in you.  “Behold, I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with me” Revelation 3:20. Are you ready to open the door of your heart for the Almighty God to come in? Do you want to be born again? Then follow the prayer guideline below:

v       Thank God for the privilege He grand you to make your ways right with Him.

v       Confess your sins

v       Asked him to come into your life and be your personal Lord and Saviour.

v       Thank Him for coming into your life

v       Amen.
